what do tigers dream of?

Vintage tiger sweater / vintage Escada cardigan / 7 for Mankind jeans / Steven boots

Sorry I've been MIA, took a long weekend with the boy to Maryland to spend some time with my family out there. The weather was definitely colder than LA, but I loved the cool crisp air and the excuse to pile on the chunky knits. My wonderful cousin, knowing my weakness for the vintage and thrifted, took me to a little shop there called Mustard Seed. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing their selection and prices are, if you're ever in the DC area I definitely recommend you stop by! Both sweaters I'm wearing in this post I got from there, the vintage Escada was only 16 bones, and the tiger sweater..14 bones! Pretty sure I shrieked and squealed a little every time I picked something up haha. Can't wait to show you guys what else I got later! =)

vintage dressing

Mom's vintage blazer and dress / ASOS belt / thrifted boots

I love going home and rummaging through my mom's suitcases filled with old treasures from when she was my age. This dress is definitely one of my favorites! The paisley print, the light fabric and perfect cut, they just don't make them like this anymore. The blazer is always in heavy rotation, but in this case it was the perfect compliment to the dress, almost modernizes it a little. The boots I've also had forever, it was a Fairfax flea market find from years back that I rediscovered in the very back of my closet. Isn't it the best when you find old pieces to update your wardrobe?

polkadots and moonbeams

Biker jacket from Shanghai / Minkpink top / vintage shorts / Dolce Vita boots

Happy Monday! I went to the 686 black and white holiday party over the weekend and this is what I wore. Ironic how most of wardrobe is filled with black, white and gray pieces, yet getting dressed for a black and white party was extremely difficult. Not gonna lie, probably changed about half a dozen times before I decided on this. Actually got these shorts a few years back at a thrift store in SF for a Halloween costume (I was a pinup girl), but don't they add the perfect amount of quirky-ness to an otherwise pretty basic outfit? Also love the intricate lace detail on the back of this top, and of course to top it all off a biker jacket to add a little edge.
